As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including the corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and management of our internal control policies and procedures. This position involves close interaction with various departments within the organization, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking a role with significant responsibility and impact on the overall business operations.Why join us?• Medical, Dental, Vision• 401k with company match• HSA options• PTO + sick leave• Annual bonuses• Work from home flexibilityJob DetailsResponsibilities• Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring all financial operations are in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actuals, and financial projections.• Manage all aspects of the financial reporting process, including the preparation and filing of reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), such as 10-Q and 10-K forms.• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.• Develop and maintain internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), identify and address discrepancies, if any.• Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.• Monitor and manage company's fixed assets.• Coordinate year-end close processes.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Engineering industry.• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).• Proven experience with financial reporting to the SEC, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.• Solid experience in auditing and establishing internal controls.• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.• High attention to detail and accuracy.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.Interested in hearing more?
