Easy Apply now by clicking the "Easy Apply" button and sending us your resume.Salary $140,000 - $170,000 per yearA Bit About UsOur client is a clinical-stage company pioneering mRNA cell therapies for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.Why join us?Growing companyGreat cultureStrong benefitsJob DetailsPrincipal Duties/ResponsibilitiesDrive an efficient and practical monthly financial statement close process to produce materially complete and accurate financial statementsPrepare and/or review reconciliations for various financial statement line items including but not limited to cash, investments, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, deferred revenue, accruals including R&D/clinical CRO accrualsResearch accounting literature and apply technical accounting standards to complex business issues and transactionsLead the preparation of written accounting position papers on an as-needed basis for review by management and external auditorsStay current on new accounting pronouncements and lead the implementation of applicable updates including the disclosure of such updates within SEC filingsAssist with the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes in compliance with US GAAP and SEC disclosure requirementsPartner with other Finance team members and employees outside of Finance to assist with the company's SOX compliance efforts, including maintenance of detailed control documentationManage the administration of the company's equity plans, including working directly with the vendor contact to ensure all equity grants are appropriately uploaded and administered as well as recording quarterly stock-based compensation expenseServe as a primary point of contact for external auditors to support the annual audit and quarterly reviewsAdditional responsibilities within reasonable scope of the position may be requested by managementQualificationsBachelors' degree and CPA preferredExperience With Netsuite Or Similar ERP System PreferredMinimum of 5 years' experience, blend of public accounting and corporate accounting preferredDemonstrated ability to research and apply technical accounting guidanceBiotechnology Industry Experience RequiredExperience with clinical accruals and manufacturing preferredSEC Reporting Experience PreferredExcellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detailAbility to evaluate complex problems and present solutions to members of managementWillingness and ability to adhere to tight deadlinesInterested in hearing more?
