Job Description

The Conference Room Operator is responsible for operating and quality-controlling video, audio, and other data, as well as for entering and leaving conference rooms.

Duties and Responsibilities
The services associated with Conference Room Operator(s) include but are not limited to:

  • Operation and management of microphone management simultaneous interpretation (simultaneous multiple languages) systems (CMSI), operations and management of robotic camera systems, operation of audio systems and technology such as multi-channel mixers, microphones, amplifiers, digital signal processors, and speaker systems, sound reinforcement, voting systems, audio and video routing, and switching.
  • Set up and operate all peripheral video and audio generating, capturing, or transmitting sources. Media Asset Management Systems. Hybrid and virtual meeting platforms such as Videoconferencing and VTC bridge operation. Administration, schedule, and resource management systems; data entry, billing calculation, and rectification.
  • The position requires close interaction and coordination with meeting participants, event organizers, and event coordinators. It also involves providing technical and instructional advice to clients and end-users on the proper operation of conferencing equipment and services.
Qualifications
  •  Minimum High School diploma (4 years) and graduation from college (2 years) or other related tertiary academic or technical qualification.
Experience
  • Five years of relevant experience in Conference Operation, event delivery and operation, and/or broadcasting, and three years of relevant experience in audio/visual operations, including operating an audio mixing board.
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronics and signal flow. Conference Room Operator must have experience with audio equipment, and/or video equipment, and computers.
