If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by a contract staffing supplier and will not be a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies.Summary:The Graphic Designer role will be responsible for producing graphics and technical documents, web pages and other communications for internal and external use to support the needs of the department. They will help guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world to develop assets and tactics that creatively market our brand.Responsibilities:• Communicate with client department personnel to confirm and complete work order specifications.• Make recommendations to project team regarding media, format and style for materials being produced.• Prepare and present complex art layouts to management for approval• Create illustrations such as graphics and icons to add branding characteristics to all materials and the explain complex concepts.• Convert the visual materials into presentation templates for the broader team to utilize.• Communicate the rationale behind the designs to stakeholders, integrate their feedback and give consultation of your recommended decision.• Design job aids, posters, slide decks, videos, newsletters, templates and all facets of print or presentation designs.• Prepare digital files for printing, and graphic designs for the department website• Ensure adherence to brand standards and ensure creativity is accurate, timely, relevant, compelling, and appropriate for the intended audience.• Independently create new designs, templates, branding, and logos based on the brand guidelinesQualifications:• Degree or equivalent education is required, in Graphic Design or related field is highly preferred• At least 2+ years of experience in a technical / scientific field is required• Graphic design in Microsoft PowerPoint, preferably with complex or technical content is required• Strong knowledge of the design process is required• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web• Excellent communicator - both within our design team, and with external stakeholders• Designing for high quality branded products• Superb attention to detail.• Creative, but can also adhere to current branding guidelines• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task effectively.• Able to resolve complex problems under general supervision.• Demonstrate learning agility and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Able to build and maintain solid and positive relationships with cross-functional team members.• Strong leadership skills, both in time management as well as in project/process management.• Must be able to provide a portfolio/ sample of work.
