Apply today!Reporting to Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Procurement for Cerenovus/Mentor, He / she will be a key leader in driving a fully integrated best in class Procurement program within both Cerenovus and Mentor. This leader is expected to provide hands-on leadership in all aspects of global sourcing having overall responsibility for tracking cost improvement projects, raw material market movement, part price variances, address raw material reliability issues/constraints.He / she will lead the supplier selection process and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice NPD and will leverage J&J’s position in direct material categories. In addition, this role will lead and shape the sourcing strategy for recently launched products to enhance supply reliability and improve gross profit.Responsibilities:• Tracks monthly cost improvement project (CIP) progress and execution of actuals for Cerenovus/Mentor• Ensures part price variance (PPV), other price variance (OPV), costs not in standard (CNIS) actuals are met through collaboration with Finance and planning teams.• Monitors and updates Market Movement tracker on monthly basis and engages Categories for latest price fluctuations to specific Business Unit• Engages Category and Supply Chain multifunctional Teams for advancing supply material delay issues.• Lead Business Unit NPD/ R&D groups in the selection, evaluation, and qualification of suppliers of materials and services including Electrical Components, Plastics, Metals, Chemicals, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and selected services for all assigned projects.• Support 6+ NPD projects simultaneously across Cerenovus and Mentor businesses, global procurement categories, and geographies• Partner with Procurement Category teams and senior leaders in R&D to identify unmet needs to drive the execution of sourcing strategies and innovative supplier solutions aligned to the franchise technology roadmap.• Lead multiple complex supplier negotiations simultaneously. Coordinate with key stakeholders, drive terms that are favorable for Cerenovus/Mentor, and hand off stabilized products, contracts, and suppliers to base business sourcing teams.• Optimize quality, supply reliability, innovation, and cost through early supplier engagement during product development.• Drive innovation through identifying and developing external partner capabilities to meet future technology needs.• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures• Performs other duties assigned as needed• Lead metrics reporting and efforts to standardize processes across NPD Procurement teams for Cardiovascular Specialty Solutions (CSS) businesses.
