Operations Enablement is a chapter in the Partners Group Business Applications team focusing on carrying out end-user support, continuous improvement, and optimization of business applications service operations, thus ensuring high-quality end-user experience.
We are seeking a Junior Application Specialist to join our dynamic team, based in Denver. Are you a passionate team player with focus on the customer and problem-solving mindset, eager to work with new technology tools (AWS monitoring tools, Snowflake, etc.), and keen to continuously improve solutions to optimize inefficiencies in operations? This position is for you and focuses on applications related to Fund & Investment Management in Partners Group.
You will have the following responsibilities:
Maintain and operate
- Work with business users globally to find solutions for their business problems related to the core business applications utilized for Fund & Investment Management
- Own and optimize operational and monitoring processes within platforms
- Perform routine application maintenance, migrations and upgrades
- Resolve data & application related issues to ensure smooth operations, working closely with Quality Assurance Engineers on data integrity and process assurance aspects
Transition
- Take part in projects, engaged during the development phase up to production deployment and operations support, collaborating with platform teams in tasks to ensure smooth transition
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and manage releases of multiple applications within platform production environment
Enable customer experience and innovate
- Train and communicate with end users on new solutions, features, releases and processes
- Maintain and evolve knowledge management
- Develop preventive measures and work together with platform teams on automation and operational improvement opportunities
What we expect
You have the following qualifications:
- Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field
- 2-3 years of experience in similar role, preferably in the financial industry. Fresh graduates will be considered
- Experience with relational database with intermediate to advanced SQL skills
- Practical experience with incident and problem management
- Accurate, effective and independent working style
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users
- Excellent communication skills and customer centric approach
Desired but not required:
- Practical experience with agile methodologies
- Basic understanding or have gained some experience of at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
- Knowledge about private markets
- Cloud services, preferably AWS
