Junior Commercial Manager

Jacuna is at the forefront of the rapidly growing dark kitchen industry with over 10 national locations serving 100s of the UK’s most-loved and innovative food brands, with significant growth planned in the coming years. Dark kitchens are typically delivery-only kitchens with no customer frontage from which brands can prepare and deliver high-quality food to customers living or working nearby via apps such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat.

Jacuna is looking for an outstanding Junior Commercial Manager to assist our Head of Commercial with the key day-to-day operational tasks such as placing Purchase Orders, liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers and Head of Construction, sending tender invites and chasing subcontractors and suppliers for quotes. As you grow in skills, you will take more responsibility in the creation and updating of budgets, price & payment term negotiations and relationship management, construction contract reviews, and work closely with the Head of Construction and Head of Projects.

What you'll do

Ensure items & services are procured in good time to ensure the program is maintained and improved
Ensure best rates are obtained from an array of suppliers & sb-contractors
Produce reliable & accurate budgets and strive to make sure these are kept to or beaten
Maintain strong ties with our current partners
Grow our network of contacts whether it be install, consultancy services, product procurement, etc.
Keep Senior personnel suitably informed on project financials, enabling them to make well-founded decisions in a timely manner
Take part in and enjoying the more social side of a dynamic company

What you need to succeed

Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited University in Quantity Surveying or a related field
OR at least 6 months experience in the field of Survey, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying
Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
Highly reliable and punctual
