About the opportunity:
We are looking for a Sr Frontend Software Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team of highly skilled, dedicated, and efficient developers. You will work in a fast-paced environment that is moving together with a common goal to provide the best solutions for our customers in markets desperate for innovation.
Day to day activity as a senior member of the team will be to design and implement solutions that enable the KarmaCheck platform to scale and perform while adding functionality and maintaining our high degree of security. Your knowledge and experience will be leveraged by acting as a mentor and guide to other engineers on the team and your work ethic will shine as you lead by example to continuously improve the product, technology, processes, and culture of the engineering organization
This is a 100% telecommute position with the rare exception of travel for company/team meetings and/or customer engagement.
What you'll do:- Contribute as part of a cross functional Agile team to build web application features using Javascript/Typescript while meeting coding and security best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate wireframes and other requirements into technical requirements and detailed architecture.
- Evaluate new frontend technologies and methodologies with an eye toward scalability and performance.
- Design and build software with an eye towards modular, extensible, and scalable design.
- Actively participate in technical product development sessions with other members of the Product and Engineering organization.
- Enhance existing development processes with best practices for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
- Act as a technical solution advisor to engineering and product management
- Participate in production deployments.
- Troubleshoot production runtime issues that may arise throughout the entire system.
- Measure the effectiveness of new features, find and address performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in electronic communication channels on a constant basis as part of your daily work.
What You Have: - 7+ years design and development (frontend and/or full stack)
- 5+ years Javascript experience
- 5+ years experience with modern frontend frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, etc)
- You speak HTML and CSS fluently and know how to build around browser limitations
- Experience working as the lead developer on any front end application
- Experience with frontend build and packaging tools like Vite, Rollup, Webpack
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities as is common in a startup environment
- Must be super detail oriented and have a passion for building GREAT software

- You have a great eye for design and enjoy working with UI and UX experts to build compelling user experiences
- You enjoy helping your teammates grow their frontend skillset
- You have experience hosting/deploying web applications in frontend cloud platforms like Vercel or Netlify
- You have extensive experience with Vue 3 and Tailwind CSS
- You have experience with Javascript API frameworks like NestJS
- You have experience working in AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Cloudwatch, RDS, etc)

- The expected base compensation for this role is between $130,000 - $180,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include seniority level, experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
