Driver Coordinator - Miami, FL

Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:

The Driver Coordinator will manage Light Duty Test Vehicle Drivers driving prototype / confidential test vehicles in the Miami, FL Area. This position will ensure Drivers follow strict requirements for safety, confidentiality requirements and strict attention to detailed of Test Processes. Some overtime is expected.

 

Essential Functions:

·        Ensure completion of required daily pre-trip safety inspections on test & support vehicles, including documentation, reporting of issues found, etc.

·        Ensure all Driver follow approved test routes per test plan. Approved is defined as Route Risk Assessment completed (JSA)

·        Prepare & submit required reports in a timely manner (using required App, E-mail, etc).

·        Perform miscellaneous vehicle preparation work as required.

·        Scheduling vehicle detail service, clean-up of vehicle, support management of admin vehicle servicing / fueling / cleaning, etc.

·        Follow all Kett/Link/Customer Policies and procedures.

·        Develop training processes and procedures as required.

·        Train new drivers if required (i.e., inspection process, test routes, etc.)

·        Facilitate and coordinate the vehicles to/from different locations (logistics).

·        Schedule & manage maintenance of vehicles, equipment, etc.

·        Complete on-road route risks assessments.

·        Purchase equipment for IPT program.

·        Make all arrangements for the training class

·        Perform additional duties as required or requested.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Provides leadership and serves employees and customers consistent with Kett’s overall Vision and Values.

·        Participates in developing goals, objectives, service plans and processes for Kett with consideration of the customer needs.

·        Interviews and facilitates selection of employees in job classifications authorized by Kett Management.

·        Provides for the orientation and training of employees in areas assigned.

·        Promotes a program of safety awareness and assures compliance with safety practices

·        Involves team leaders, employees, and customers in improving the overall work climate and team effort.

·        Develops and maintains a positive team effort on behalf of Kett Leadership.

 

Job Requirements:

Skills/Experience- Excellent organizational and communication skills; Must have proficiency with computer and smartphone technology (MS Office applications, email, text); Minimum 5

years driving experience, clean driving record for prior 36 months (no moving violations or at-fault accidents);

Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, lifting and bending for approximately 6 – 8 hours daily. Ability to work outside year-round. Ability to pass drug screen, background check and physical if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the US.

Employee Development- Coach, counsel and train team leaders to meet customer requirements and employee goals.

Employee Relations- Develop positive relations with team leaders and employees, provides recognition, and shows appreciation in a manner that meets individual needs and creates a high degree of trust and satisfaction.

Customer Relations- Develops positive relations with customer and assures that services are provided in a manner that creates enthusiastic customer support.

Safety- Educates and creates awareness of safety programs and practices in promotion of high safety standards.

Role Model- Serve as a role model and mentor for Kett’s Value and business principles.
