Responsibilities:
· Attend pre-bid meetings to obtain measurements, photos and gather documents necessary to complete estimates.
· Read drawings and specifications to determine scope of work.
· Communicate directly with vendors and subcontractors to obtain project pricing.
· Assist in the preparation of estimates utilizing company estimating systems and procedures.
· Assist in development and updating of project schedules and phasing plans.
· Assist with development of project shop drawings and submittals.
· Assist with project pre-construction planning.
· Assist with managing field construction.
· Assist with generating change order pricing and documents.
· Gather, organize and analyze project tracking sheets.
· Prepare and distribute construction progress updates.
· Monitors project purchasing activities.
· Conduct project inspections and advise project manager of work progress, quality of work and conditions requiring attention regarding safety.
· Attend weekly project supervisor production meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
· Perform administrative tasks to support the Operations Manager, Estimator/Project Managers and superintendents.
· Full time, entry level position for college graduates or 4 years of experience in construction industry.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
· Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Proficient in Microsoft Office -Excel, Projects, Power Point and Word
