Job Description

The Director, Risk Solution Services will lead a team that helps Visa clients manage the risk of accepting payments online. This will include enabling strong analytic skills to evaluate order data to identify emerging fraud trends, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and empowering professional and credible consultation with Visa’s clients to implement these strategies using a combination of Visa and industry tools.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Communication and Presentation: Enhances communication within RSS, leads organizational practices, engages with executives, fosters relationships for revenue growth, and promotes team wellbeing.
  • Solutions Delivery and Business Ownership: Drives revenue for RSS, optimizes client acceptance, analyzes product-to-service revenue, guides internal projects, and streamlines team processes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keeps abreast of industry trends to improve fraud mitigation and acceptance strategies, advises on payment ecosystems, and stays informed on the competitive landscape.

Location and Work Hours

  • This role requires availability during core business hours.

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires work travel up to 25% of the time. For international travel, a valid US Passport is required.

Physical Requirements

  • This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.

Reporting Relationships and Interactions

  • This role reports to the LAC (Latin American and the Caribbean) Sr. Director, Risk Solution Services.
  • This individual will be expected to interact effectively with direct line management and others at a similar level.

Financial and Organizational Scope

  • This role is people manager executing Visa’s business strategy in region (LAC), ensuring that Visa clients (merchants, partners, issuers, and acquirers) can transact confidently using Visa products, working within a global Managed Services team leading a team of individual contributors supporting clients in their respective regions.
  • No responsibility for a budget or cost center.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 6 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 1 year of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Working in eCommerce payment industry
  • Collaborating on and with enterprise-wide products, projects, and programs
  • Deriving insights and action items through analysis
  • Providing Solutions Delivery/professional services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Office)
  • Exceptional presentation, consultative, and communication skills
  • English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
