The Knowledge Manager is a key member of the Resource Development team who provides organizational support, training and governance for the division's fundraising assets across digital platforms and teams. They will work with the Executive Director, Mega Gift Content to design a knowledge management strategy that supports the division's ability to raise funds, cultivate and steward donors; influence and govern RD staff adherence; and orient new employees to CARE's internal- and external-facing resources. Responsibilities include information management and dissemination, leading the knowledge management council, governance of internal systems, and ensuring timely and intuitive access to information during emergencies. Ideal candidates are user-centric, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, complete tasks with urgency, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. Reporting to the Executive Director of Mega Gift Content, this position is based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the knowledge management strategy for ResDev knowledge base and maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill levels.
    • Design and maintain a KM strategy that serves the entire ResDev division
    • Work across the organization with stakeholders, change management, service teams, and subject matter experts to develop and support new/existing products, processes and services.
    • Leverage analytics to evaluate business impact, track usage, define utility/efficiency of content.
    • Establish usage guidelines and training for entire division.
    • Develop new KM programs and solutions for ResDev.
    • Lead the KM Council.
  • Design strategy and process for Emergency content management
    • To facilitate CARE's expedited fundraising response when emergencies strike, the Knowledge Manager will:
      • Design a KM strategy for management and dissemination of internal + external communications across multiple systems (Sharepoint, Teams, email, etc.).
      • Deploy training, communications, and awareness related to KM.
      • Provide lead generation for fundraising materials .
      • Develop process for timely content sharing.
      • Serve as primary point of contact for internal information requests.
  • Design on-boarding strategy and process to build capacity of RD Staff
    • Design + implement KM orientation program for all division staff on shared content systems and processes
    • Build the capacity of ResDev staff to improve and maintain team and division KM base
    • Lead the KM Council i.e., educate and influence KM champions and stakeholders
    • Develop new and improve existing processes for KM across the division
    • Develop governing processes to ensure adoption and adherence to KM strategy and process

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Education, Library Science, Communications, International Development or adjacent and interest or experience in international issues.
  • Must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft Sharepoint, Teams and Office.
  • At least 3 years experience working in a large organization, ability to curate large volumes of information, strong relationship building and instructional facilitation experience, stellar organizational skills, user experience and/or human-centered design strategies are a plus.
  • Project management software knowledge will also serve the incumbent well.
