Infrastructure and Security, Engineering Manager

The Infrastructure and Security Engineering Manager at KoBold Metals will oversee the design and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud-based systems for geoscientific data. This includes ensuring the performance, efficiency, and reliability of our technological systems while fostering collaboration between interdisciplinary teams.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity. Additionally, 2 years of leadership experience in a multidisciplinary environment is essential. Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as expertise in Python, is also required for this role.

In this role, you'll build effective interdisciplinary relationships with geologists, data scientists, and engineers, integrating infrastructure engineering tailored to the computational needs of the organization. This collaboration is key to KoBold's success in mineral exploration.

The Manager will work with a variety of technologies including AWS for cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity measures, and tools like Terraform and Kubernetes for deployment. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Kubeflow is also beneficial.

As the Infrastructure and Security Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of 5–10 engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. This leadership role emphasizes effective communication and teamwork across various disciplines.

Be specific about your past roles managing AWS, GCP, or Azure environments. Discuss projects that required you to implement scalable infrastructure and ensure security. Highlight your familiarity with tools like Terraform and how you've used them in real-world scenarios.
