Empower customers to take charge of their experience by listening to their feedback and helping to resolve any issues.Responsibilities:• As a grocery clerk in the bakery/deli section, you are tasked with fulfilling customized orders through the utilization of specialized baking tools and machinery.• Introducing customers to new products by offering product samples is an excellent way for the bakery/deli clerk to provide value to customers and enhance their experience while shopping.• With awareness of the bakery and deli specials, the Grocery Clerk can keep shoppers in the know with valuable information.• In order to prevent unnecessary shrink, businesses must ensure that they deliver fresh products to customers that are as close as possible to the requested portion sizes.• Offer specific deli and bakery items to customers, ensuring that they receive products that meet their requirements.• While using the bakery's equipment, like freezers, refrigerators, slicers, and ovens, follow the regulations provided by the company.• It is crucial to follow the temperature logs and cooking instructions to prepare food correctly.• Follow the recipe and make use of diverse kitchen tools and equipment to accurately measure, prepare and blend ingredients.• Preparing, packaging, labeling and inventorying ingredients are key steps that must be followed for successful merchandise production.• Scrutinize the quality of the product to ensure freshness. Verify the sell-by date and take appropriate steps if necessary.• Change the settings on digital kitchen tools such as the computerized scale to ensure accurate measurements.• Label, organize and supervise the department's stock and inventory.• It's recommended to report any discrepancies in product orders and shipments to the department manager.• Master the store's floor plan to aid customers in efficiently locating their desired items.• Stay ahead of the competition by keeping informed on the most current and innovative ad campaigns, including promotions and seasonal deals.• Develop expertise on the products retailed in the department and have the aptitude to answer any questions and suggest options to customers.• Keep an eye on the inventory and report any discrepancies in real-time to ensure that the stocking levels remain undisturbed.• To maintain optimal conditions for stored products, ensure cases and coolers are kept at the correct temperature levels, and update temperature logs regularly as part of your daily tasks.• Avoid micromanaging and instead empower your colleagues to work independently, showing trust in their abilities.• Promote a welcoming and supportive environment that facilitates a positive customer experience.
