Job DescriptionResponsible for coordinating, leading and executing optimization efforts for the transportation organization. Collaborate, partner, and support multiple manufacturing plants, distribution centers, stores, vendors and transportation departments in identifying sub-optimized issues. Partner with Supply Chain, stores and General Office (GO), for optimal resolutions through focused improvement activities that maximize service and costs. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Responsibilities• Support the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs• Impact performance by providing resources, identifying performance standards, and measuring progress to solve problems, eliminate waste and reduce variation• Collaborate, partner and support distribution centers, stores, vendors, team members, and other transportation offices on asset utilization, supplier needs, supplier resolution, and maximizing transportation assets• Contribute to team efforts to improve service, cost, and business KPIs such as profitability, service, dwell, productivity, flow, etc.• Query, compile, analyze, and provide access/visibility to data for the design of solutions/action plans to meet needs both internally and externally• Compare data from different sources to draw conclusions, use effective approaches for choosing a course of action, and take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences• Execute on business area or category objectives that can touch multiple business units• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationQualificationsMINIMUM• 3+ years of experience in transportation• Excellent oral/written communication skills• Flexibility to handle ever changing scope of assignments and projects• Ability to work successfully across all organizational levels• Proficient in Microsoft Office, power BI, tableau, etc.• Strong skills in planning, communicating, organizing and developing relationships across multifunctional business partnersDESIRED• Bachelor's Degree in related field of business• Any continuous Improvement backgroundAbout UsFrom one tiny Cincinnati grocery store more than a century ago, we've grown into what today is the nation's largest grocer with nearly 2,800 stores in 35 states operating under 28 different names.
