This person will serve as the go-to subject matter expert for all things compensation and benefits. They will serve as the "center of excellence" for every moment in the employee lifecycle and be the first point of contact for questions from staff. Kruze Consulting has a proven track record of developing their employees to their highest potential. If you are looking to learn and grow as a PeopleOps professional, this role might be a terrific opportunity to do that in a supportive, coaching environment.

WHY DO WE KEEP POSTING HR/PeopleOps JOBS:

We posted a Total Rewards Specialist in May, but LinkedIn and our integration between LinkedIn and Lever has been glitchy. That posting didn't get the views/applications we were expecting, so we're trying again with People Operations Generalist. We can be flexible with either title if you have a preference.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING BY CATEGORY:

- Benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA, S/LTD) & other total rewards (about 25% of the time)

- Compensation Analysis & Management in Payscale's PayFactors platform (about 25% of the time)

- Payroll - reviewing automated cycles for accuracy and changes/additions in Rippling (about 5% of the time)

- HR Systems Maintenance - HRIS & other people tech – there is a lot! (about 5% of the time)

- Onboarding, Offboarding, and Leaves of absence - and associated process improvements (about 5% of the time)

- the rest of the time you'll be contributing to a variety of generalist PeopleOps activities and projects

WHAT YOU WON’T BE DOING:

· Performance management, engagement/culture, employee relations, learning & development, and recruitment & selection (those areas are handled by other people on the team)

BIG PRIORITIES FOR YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS:

Besides getting acclimated to the company, the People team, the tech, and the people, you will:

· Build a job description library and create, update, and/or publish ~50 job descriptions

· Get to see the tail end of our 2025 health benefits open enrollment process

· Participate in our mid-year 2025 compensation analysis process

THIS ROLE MIGHT BE IDEAL FOR YOU IF:

· You've worked in a few smaller, privately held or VC-backed companies with 100-300 employees

· You've supported a sophisticated workforce (think CPAs, attorneys, consultants, engineers)

· You've worked in a fully remote/remote-first multi-state environment

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR RESUME STAND OUT:

The last time we posted for this role, we received over 1,200 candidates. As an HR/PeopleOps professional, we strongly recommend you include the following information on your resume for each of your current/previous employers:

· What industry/sector was the company operating in? (unless it's like Apple or Google where there is instant brand recognition)

· How many employees does the company have/were you supporting?

· How big was your HR/PeopleOps team? (What you have exposure to as a team of 4 vs. a team of 40 is drastically different!)

· What was your location structure? (On-site, hybrid, or fully-remote)

· What software platforms were in your HR tech stack? (and note any migrations/implementations)

NEED TO HAVE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

· 3+ years of full-time human resources/people operations experience

· 2+ years of experience using an HRIS as an administrator

· 2+ years of experience in a corporate environment with 100 to 300 employees

· Experience with/exposure to Total Rewards – both compensation (base & bonuses) and health benefits

· A strong understanding of people policies, procedures, compliance, and Federal/state labor laws

NICE TO HAVE/POSITION PREFERENCES:

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

· Experience administering the Rippling platform

· Experience working in a firm running on EOS - the Entrepreneurial Operating System

· Progress towards or attainment of a human resources-related designation

· Experience working with a globally diverse contingent workforce with freelance contractors

· Experience in a professional service firm (accounting, consulting, law firm, marketing/advertising, etc.)

· Experience with a deep HR tech stack (We use Lever ATS, Payscale, Bonusly, Trello (workflows), Spoke LMS)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Extended periods of focused, seated computer work – approximately 8 hours a day.
