GA works with business units to advance their policy agendas and support their business priorities and works with legislators, government officials, consumer leaders, business partners and trade associations to advance the policy interests of the company.We are passionate about our commitment to drive the Company’s goals of growth and progress by monitoring the issues and public policy debates and engaging with government officials at various levels throughout the world to provide our perspective. We coordinate across the business to assess the potential impact of public policy issues to prioritize and determine the appropriate level of engagement. Government Affairs is dedicated to building diversity and inclusive leadership across all levels of the organization.The Government Affairs office internship will be in Washington DC from June 2025 – August 2025.How will you make an impact in this role?• Support GA activities including research, public policy projects and communications• Research current events and work on various projects as necessary to assist with deadline driven assignments• Assist staff with legislative, regulatory and consumer group issues, attend legislative hearings, provide hearing coverage with follow-up report writing• Conduct research on organizations, issues, trends, case studies, federal legislative and political agendas, public policy issues and regional events• Other responsibilities may include front desk coverage; greet guests; answer phones; respond to customer inquiries; retrieve and open mail; assist with reports; prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and reportsMinimum Qualifications:• Currently a sophomore or junior enrolled in full-time 4-year undergraduate degree program in political science, social science, business, communications, economics, or a related study• Students must have a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0• Must be a permanent resident of Washington DC• Inclusive mind-set and behaviors across all levels of organization• Professional demeanor / superior business etiquette• Demonstrated experience building, sustaining and leveraging relationships• Strong work ethic, organizational skills and attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills• Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and act decisively• Ability to think strategically and influence teammates on multiple, cross-functional teams• Positive, can-do attitude embracing Growth Mindset• Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0• Must be a permanent resident of Washington DC
