We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join RVS’s technology team who will play a vital role in shaping this transformation and enabling state-of-the-art digital services. From designing Azure-based infrastructure and orchestrating Kubernetes clusters to establishing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring secure, resilient deployments, you’ll create the stable, scalable platforms that empower volunteers to continue their life-changing work. You will also collaborate across teams to enforce best practices in coding, automation, and infrastructure management, thus driving faster, more reliable software releases. This role reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Kubernetes & Azure Management: Design, deploy, and optimize Kubernetes clusters in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), manage workloads via Helm charts, and ensure secure, high-performing containerized applications.
  • Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Use Terraform to define and manage Azure infrastructure, streamline code testing and integration, and automate deployment processes to ensure quick, consistent releases.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. Integrate testing, QA, and security checks directly into the release cycle.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement robust monitoring (using Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor) to track performance and reliability. Quickly diagnose and resolve issues to maintain high availability.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce best practices for Kubernetes and Azure security, perform regular audits, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to align DevOps practices with RVS’s mission. Document architectures, processes, and configurations for future reference.

Our Ideal Candidate Has :

  • Technical Expertise: 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering with deep knowledge of Azure services, Kubernetes, Helm charts, Terraform, Docker, and GitOps.
  • Practical Knowledge: Skilled in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell), network/security management in Azure, and using monitoring tools. Experience selecting priorities in resource-constrained environments is essential.
  • Tools & Technology: Comfortable with Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, Grafana, Prometheus, Cloudflare, Postman, Auth0, Sentinel, SonarQube, and related work management tools.
  • Communication & Organization: Clear communicator, adept at collaborating with diverse teams. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
