Seeking a Know Your Client professional within a Client Service KYC Operational team for the refresh and review process of client files.
Focusing on and in partnership with a specific business line, coordinate and complete the KYC refresh process of client accounts. Knowledgeable individual to work with a team both onshore and off shore processing client periodic reviews according to industry, regulatory and Mizuho standards. Close coordination with the business lines, Compliance, internal and external clients.
Duties will include verification of client data, performing due diligence checks, reviewing KYC documentation, risk assessment, client outreach and liaising with the Business and Compliance/AML teams. Work closely with peers within Client Services Group (CSG) to ensure operational targets are met. This role requires a hands on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be to process High Risk regular reviews for a business line to ensure all CDD and EDD regulatory requirements are met, all required documentation is accurate/comprehensive and obtained in a timely manner.
Liaise with Front Office, Compliance, IT and Operations to resolve KYC exceptions and obtain approvals when necessary.
Complete client outreach, prioritize and track the process including escalations.
Responsible for event driven reviews, liaising with CSG and Compliance to remediate where necessary, timely escalation of client or operational issues to manager/department head.
Contribute to process improvements and implement process changes as required.
In coordination with the Periodic Review Team Manager assist in the process of audits, data remediation and ad hoc requests.
Skills:
2-5 yrs knowledge of KYC process and regulations.
Knowledge of market practices related to KYC operations
Good judgement, sense of urgency and accountability; time- management; organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to execute in a high pressure environment
Good interpersonal skills and team player
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The expected base salary ranges from $62,000 - $110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
