About the role 

Ladder is hiring a talented Treasury - Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager to our exceptional Finance team. This role reports to the VP of Finance and works closely with other team members within the company.  This IC position may grow to supervise the work of others. You are responsible for managing the treasury functions, helping process and review vendor invoices, reviewing travel and entertainment expenses, monitoring cash and managing banking relationships, processing payroll, helping with the monthly close process, reconciliations, and a wide assortment of activities supporting the business. The ideal candidate is well-rounded and can interact with all levels of management and operate effectively in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices, verifying accounting and proper classifications
  • Process and monitor virtual credit card program
  • Review travel and entertainment reimbursement to ensure it aligns with internal standards
  • Help monitor liquidity and cash forecast reporting and manage banking relationships and cash movement
  • Process Payroll in coordination with our People Team
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll, interest earned, and cash-related account journal entries and reconciliation
  • Process promissory note generation
  • Help prepare 1099’s and other tax reporting items
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Prepare internal and external PBCs and work with external consultants and accounting firms on financial, statutory, and tax audits
  • Take part in various adhoc projects and analyses and Finance projects and initiatives as required
  • Ability to travel if needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years treasury - accounts payable and/or accounts receivable and banking accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to work with large data sets
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Net Suite and accounts payable systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and controls 
  • Data-driven with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the ability to effectively interact with/influence various functional groups throughout the company
  • Excellent communication skills across levels, including writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Desire to continually learn and improve
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Accountable and takes ownership of solving problems and delivering high-quality timely output on assignments
  • Ability to drive change and be resilient to successfully handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to lead and manage through influence in a hybrid/remote work model
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

The base pay range targeted for this position is $104,000 - $155,000 per year. Base pay is determined by market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for equity and benefits as shared above.
