About this position:

Later is looking for a social media and influencer-savvy individual to join our team as an Affiliate Marketing Specialist. If you stay up-to-date on emerging social media trends, news, and creators, this is the job for you!

Later’s Influencer Marketing program has excelled the last year, and we’re looking for someone to help scale our influencer and affiliate programs even further. Our mission is to help our audience succeed on social media, while also increasing awareness of Later’s social media and scheduling tools.

Reporting to the Influencer Marketing Manager, the Affiliate Marketing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing new influencer partners, helping manage our affiliate program, program reporting, and brainstorming creative content ideas.

This is a great opportunity for a developing marketer who wants to learn more about both influencer and affiliate marketing and hone their negotiating and pitching skills

What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to scaling Later’s influencer and affiliate programs across Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn.
  • Briefing influencers to create compelling content and helping to manage key relationships.
  • Drive visibility and traffic to Later.com through targeted Influencer & Affiliate campaigns.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on Affiliate and Influencer programs
  • Collaborate with social and paid teams to amplify content across various paid and owned channels. 

Affiliate Marketing

  • Scale Later’s affiliate marketing programs by nurturing existing partners, establishing new incentives and diversifying content partners to drive sign up, trial and new customers.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize affiliate marketing strategies to drive traffic and revenue.
  • Grow program revenue by identifying and recruiting new affiliate partners.
  • Leverage PartnerStack to track, analyze, and optimize campaign performance.

Influencer Marketing

  • Source and identify the best partners for respective influencer programs based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. Help build an internal database of influencers.
  • Manage outreach and recruitment of new partners that aligns with Later’s audiences across both Influencer Marketing and Social Media Management products.
  • Oversee new and existing  influencer partnerships, which includes contract, negotiations and compensation.
  • Monitor influencer campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

Monitoring & Analysis

  • Build monthly, and program-specific KPI reports and tracking that highlight engagement, reach, and costs, pulling key insights and recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date on media and social trends to suggest creative content ideas.
  • Work cross-functionally with paid ads team to source UGC ads content from influencer partners. 
  • Various administrative tasks such as maintaining a database of influencer assets, updating influencer program trackers, coupon requests, and UTM link-building

  • 3+ years of experience with marketing or other digital-, social-, or partnership-based marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of North America’s changing influencer and social media landscape, Ability to identify and partner with relevant and diverse creators 
  • Experience with PartnerStack or similar affiliate marketing platforms (Commission Junction, Rakuten, Partnerize, Rewardful)
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing strategies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
  • Always on top of the latest social media trends, news, and features 
  • A creative thinker who is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
  • Can embrace feedback and have a constant desire to learn and improve
  • Endlessly curious

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are granted stock options and are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary Range: $70,000 - 90,000 CAD
