Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring that payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to handle confidential financial information, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper documentation and approval.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices.

Process payments, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks, ensuring timely disbursement.

Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations.

Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation.

Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.

Assist with year-end 1099 reporting.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus.

2+ years of accounts payable experience preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
