Job Title: Member Service Representative
Job Summary: As a Member Service Representative (MSR), you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to credit union members. You will assist members with a variety of financial transactions, inquiries, and account maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Greet members in a friendly and professional manner, both in-person and over the phone.
Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.
Assist members with account inquiries, including balance inquiries, transaction history, and account maintenance requests.
Educate members about our products and services, including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, and electronic banking options.
Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
Resolve member concerns and complaints promptly and effectively, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation, as needed.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and objectives, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or related field preferred.
Previous experience in customer service, banking, or financial services strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with members.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in transaction processing.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and banking software.
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards preferred.
Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
