PLC Programmer / Electrical Mechanical

We have an exciting opportunity for an electrician to join our team at our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have knowledge of processes and techniques used to operate and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment, such as hydraulic presses, pressure vessels, robotics, and conveyor systems.

Key Functions
  •   Manage the electrical systems in the facility.
  •   Install, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems.
  •   Must maintain communications with facility personnel and leaders, to perform maintenance duties (reactive and preventive) safely and efficiently.
  •   May also assist with basic mechanical maintenance functions as needed.
  •   May also operate manufacturing equipment as needed.


Qualifications
  • ·      Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • ·      Ability to pass a pre-employment testing process.
  • ·      Must have a high school diploma or GED (or higher)
  • ·      Must have English as a primary or secondary language.
  • ·      Willingness and ability to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • ·      Ability to demonstrate open, honest behaviors and be open to the regular exchange of information.
  • ·      Able to treat everyone with respect and dignity.
  • ·      Be team oriented; putting team's needs ahead of individual interests and working to develop trust and respect.
  • ·      Minimum three (3) years' electrical experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment or electrical degree.
  • ·      Ability to troubleshoot 480v and low voltage electrical systems, AC and DC.
  • ·      Familiarity with troubleshooting, set up, and program variable speed drives.
  • ·      Excellent computer skills and fluency in standard Microsoft office products and work with computerized maintenance systems for processes, stores, work orders, etc.
  • ·      Familiarity with programming, repair, and troubleshooting of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Process Control Platforms.
  • ·      Must be able to sort data,  troubleshoot and program controls
  • ·      Instrumentation experience, particularly liquid level indicators, load cells, encoders, and cameras. 
  • ·      Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • ·      Must demonstrate logical problem-solving skills and react appropriately in upset situations.
  • ·      Willingness to fully cross train in other technical/specialty areas to enhance capabilities.
  • ·      Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects effectively and safely.
  • ·      Must be willing to work overtime as operating conditions require.
  • ·      Must be willing to work any shift, including rotating shifts plus weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
  • ·      Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs, lift as much as 50 pounds, and work in an industrial environment and extreme heat and cold.
