We’re seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist! This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Learning and Development. This position will work with a team of fellow curriculum developers and trainers to set the direction, guide the design and development, and deliver all training and development initiatives for one of our subsidiaries of PROG Holdings. Given the nature of the position, the ideal candidate will be required to have a sound instructional design background with proven experience in all facets of the adult training process and be comfortable with engaging in-person and virtual facilitation, all while coordinating multiple projects simultaneously. This position will spend equal time facilitating training and writing training content. This is a hybrid Utah based position; our Learning and Development Specialist will be facilitating in-person training in our Draper office.

YOU ARE:
A high-powered learning and talent development executive with extensive experience leading, developing and modifying learning and development content at organizations. As a learning and development curriculum designer/trainer, your role will be one of the most impactful at Progressive Leasing as it relates to supporting our value of putting people above all else, while collecting past-due payments or merchandise. This role will partner with Customer Payment Assistance (CPA) leadership and other key stakeholders to develop and deliver on-target and effective programs focused on in-person negotiation techniques while providing excellent customer service. You will partner with CPA leadership to monitor and evaluate team performance to determine ROI and effectiveness of programs and adapt to evolving needs.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts, including: executive staff, product, marketing, and sales teams
  • Assess, design, and develop training curriculum
  • Conduct system, procedure, soft skills, and professional training to staff and management
  • Provide a structured, yet engaging learning environment
  • Orchestrate training logistics between various stakeholders
  • Communicate training plans and progress to multiple parties
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Identify key behaviors that will impact a desired goal
  • Deliver New Employee Training in both Operations Repayment and Customer Service departments
  • Implement adult learning theory, models, and methods
  • Design and develop engaging instructor lead, and eLearning material for both internal and customer facing audiences
  • Maintain training material, modules, and guides
  • Utilize multiple design, and industry-standard software
YOU’LL BRING:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Training and/or team lead experience required
  • Results oriented, and able to accomplish assigned tasks consistently
  • Great communication skills and creativity
  • Expert knowledge in all facets of the ADDIE model and able to create engaging content from request through facilitation
  • Proficient knowledge with all Microsoft products, curriculum design software and tools (Articulate, video creation, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.), and virtual instructor-led platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively review and provide an accurate, well-organized deliverable in a time-conscious fashion
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven collaborative work style, with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility and partner with internal co-workers
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple high-priority projects on schedule under tight deadlines
  • Preference given to experience in a contact center environment
