Network Engineer – TS/SCI Polygraph Required

Description Leidos is searching for several Senior Network Engineers of varying experience levels to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The team is made-up of highly technical and motivated individuals. The engineer for this role will assist in troubleshooting complex problems and implementing cutting-edge solutions. As such, this individual must be an excellent problem solver and work well in a collaborative team environment. Candidate must have proven hands-on experience working as a network engineer. OCONUS experience is highly desired.50% travel to OCONUS location.The program is made up of CONUS and OCONUS teams who regularly interact across varying time zones. As a result, the candidate must have excellent communication skills and be flexible with regards to teamwork and tasking. A demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve results in a timely manner is desired.Primary Responsibilities:• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network appliances (routers, switches, and firewalls)• Monitor entire network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) and provide regular reporting• Collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure network optimization and the completion of other tasks• Ensure network uptime, performance, and security• Document and enforce network standards• Manage and maintain IP addressing schema• Travel OCONUS as needed• Maintain network lab in Chantilly, VAMultiple Levels – Network Engineers Needed:• Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, computer science, or related subject and between 8+/12+/15+ years minimum experience depending on education, training, skills and experience. Experience requirement may reduced with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in network engineering, computer science, or related subject.• Must possess an active and in-scope TS/SCI With Poly to be considered• Active/current basic CCNA certification• Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP model• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco appliances• Experience configuring/troubleshooting routing and switching, including routing protocols• Experience writing scripts for Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls• Ability to work well individually, as well as within a team environment, and always maintain professional behavior with all stakeholders.• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb 30 ft.Desired Qualifications:• CCNA/CCNP Security certification• Experience working with Cisco ASA/Firepower and Juniper SRX appliances• Experience implementing and troubleshooting IPSec VPN tunnels• Deep understanding of networking protocols, i.e., IPSEC, EIGRP, OSPF, QoS• Experience installing and troubleshooting iDirect VSATs• Experience using Solarwinds Performance Monitor and Configuration Manager• Experience implementing and troubleshooting AWS• Experience implementing and troubleshooting VoIP & PBX systems• Experience implementing and troubleshooting Asterisk• * This is a sourcing posting and the listed salary range may not be representative of final salary offered.
