Level II Technician, Layer 1 - Travel

POSITION TITLE: Level II Technician, Layer I

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Level II Technician supports the Facility Infrastructure Team installing copper and fiber infrastructure. The Level II Technician possesses 1-3 years of experience with cable installation procedures including, but not limited to, pulling cable, securing cable, splicing cable, running conduit, etc. The ideal candidate will be able to travel nationwide, cable installation experience, as well as a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with Inside Plant Operations including, but no limited to, pulling, patching, terminating, and testing copper and fiber cabling
• Assist in bonding and grounding racks
• Assist in properly mounting displays
• Basic ability to interpret and understand install prints
• Land and Terminate Copper Patch Panel
• Unistrut/All-Thread Construction
• Installation of rack/cabinet, ladder rack/cable tray, conduit sleeve, wall penetration, and firestop
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership

• Certified with BICSI Installer 1 – Fiber & Copper (preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking, and driving
• May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
• When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and life jackets

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 1-3 years of experience with cable installation procedures required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
