Accounting Manager, Mesquite (110K-115K)

LHH is working with a company in the Mesquite area that is adding a new Accounting Manager to their team. This position holds responsibility for overseeing and executing the day-to-day accounting activities for the company. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accurate posting of entries into the general ledger accounting system, oversight of financial statements, accounting, and monitoring that accounting procedures are in alignment with GAAP.This position pays 110K-115K+BonusJob Responsibilities:• Execute accounting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures and cooperative borrower requirements, maintaining records per established retention guidelines and submitting required financial and statistical reports.• Review cash disbursements for payment approval and support as necessary.• Administer system roles and access in the current accounting software.• Supervise and back up the processing and posting of AP/AR invoices, ensuring accuracy.• Review Accountant's month-end entries.• Provide support for year-end audit activities..• Prepare financial and month-end reports, including month-end reporting for combined Members financial statements.• Generate monthly trial balance entry for company.• Prepare, direct, and communicate financial metrics to the Controller.• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant differences to the Controller.• Provide income tax reporting information to tax preparer.Job Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.• 5+ years of accounting experience; utility accounting experience is advantageous.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus• Profound understanding of accounting, including Uniform System of Accounts and GAAP.• Strong communication and management skills.• Planning and organizational proficiency.• Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills.If you are interested in this job or other Accounting and Finance career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions please email Rami Muhanna at rami.muhanna@lhh.com or visit our website at www.lhh.com
