We are seeking a Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing to define and implement our scaled customer engagement and retention strategies across core markets to deliver a material increase in Monthly Profitable Active Customers. This role will lead the Lifecycle Marketing Strategy and a team of marketers dedicated to nurturing the Payoneer customer base through primarily owned channels including account, app, email placements to inspire our customers to use more of Payoneer's services more frequently, in addition to expanding the channels and touchpoints to optimize for customer experience and engagement


You obsess about customer journeys and human behavior, working across a variety of touch points to help new and existing users engage and fall in love with Payoneer. You have a keen appreciation for data and analytics, you rigorously measure campaign performance, and continually look for ways to improve effectiveness. You champion an agile way of working focused on designing, innovating, and executing always-on marketing to deliver growth to the business.


This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced customer marketing leader to shape Payoneer's global lifecycle marketing strategy and be a key member of the Marketing leadership team.


Responsible for:


  • Own and grow the Marketing managed portfolio of existing customers (~50% of company revenue)
  • Own the relationship with cross-functional stakeholders including Platform, Customer Journey, GTM, Business Units and Marketing to drive a holistic customer engagement strategy across all touchpoints.
  • Subject matter expert in customer engagement and nurturing through a "low touch", scalable model.
  • Lead a strategy and operating model (including inter-regional and inter-product coordination and collaboration) for the global/ regional lifecycle marketing function that optimize customer experience, speed-to-market, effectiveness, collaboration, and impact.
  • Manage, coach, and motivate a globally dispersed high-performing regional lifecycle marketing team to execute the vision while supporting them to achieve their development goals.
  • Drive global customer revenue including product adoption and usage by cohort, retention rates and average lifetime revenue per customer.
  • Lead the conception and execution of a holistic lifecycle marketing strategy, in partnership with stakeholders in the business, platform, and GTM organizations to drive customer engagement and product adoption from lead nurturing to newly on-boarded customers to highly engaged and churned.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end customer journey (from lead nurturing to onboarding to engagement and churn prevention) with global marketing, sales, customer journey and platform teams to optimize segment-specific customer experiences to drive growth.
  • Innovate on how we connect with our customers and delight them at every touchpoint with personalization and tailored flows, both inside and outside the product.
  • Advance and own a comprehensive, data-driven customer segmentation plan, designed to increase lifetime value amongst our key customer segments.
  • Define processes to effectively prioritize and streamline user communications and put in place rigorous QA processes.
  • Obsession with local customer insights and tailoring messaging and distribution channels accordingly.
  • Champion an experimentation and growth mindset (ideation, opportunity sizing, ranking) to test new ideas, optimize activity and identify best practices, and operate at speed while maintaining and improving impact.

You will bring:


  • 10+ years of experience in managing lifecycle, cross-sell and up-sell programs.
  • Proactive, strategic and creative leader with experience running a B2B SaaS business.
  • Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering long-term customer engagement and lifetime profit growth.
  • Deep understanding of segmentation and customer lifecycle
  • Experience in applying new and innovative martech tools and techniques, incl. deep working knowledge of marketing automation and customer data platforms.
  • Strong data-driven mentality with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights to inform engagement strategies.
  • Hands-on leader with experience juggling multiple projects and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced cross-functional environment with a great attention to detail.
  • People management experience with the ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing teams in different markets.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong bias for action.
  • Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions for commercial and operational performance.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get hands dirty.

  • Good understanding of the payments industry and its current evolution across the world
  • Small Business understanding and experience
