The Sales Strategy & Operations Director is a key business leader who will function as a strategic thought partner and “chief of operations” to the LinkedIn Sales Solutions (LSS) North America business.
The role is focused on driving strategy that will accelerate the growth of the LSS North America organization and enable our world-class field sales team to be as productive as possible through effective operations management. This individual will be responsible for making data-driven decisions around business strategy in partnership with sales leadership, designing and implementing strategy enhancements through our sales planning process, and leveraging sales analytics and operational improvements to drive action and improve the productivity of the organization.
This is a people management role, with an experienced team of sales operations professionals underneath it. As Sales Strategy & Operations Director, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow a high performing team.
We are looking for an exceptional business and people leader with strong quantitative, problem solving, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with executives and collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of high complexity and scope, and can perform professionally in a challenging and extremely fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information supporting a rapidly changing organization. We're seeking a leader who can recognize opportunities to drive business growth or improve processes and who can lead a team to bring these ideas to life.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead a top-caliber strategy & operations team
Serve as key business advisor to our North America sales & cross-functional leaders
Lead sales strategy & operations for the North America region of LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions business – including, but not limited, to:
Developing & driving strategic priorities to accelerate business growth
Providing visibility into business performance via forecasting, reporting & sales insights
Leading key sales planning activities to improve productivity, including segmentation, territory planning, incentive design, and quota-setting
Driving system improvements & streamlining sales processes
Deliver strategic and operations projects globally as required to evolve and transform LinkedIn’s sales model
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to lead mission critical projects, role alignment & program integrations
Basic Qualifications:
BA or BS degree
10+ years in operations, sales, management consulting, finance or investment banking experience
5+ years in people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
3+ years of experience managing large teams and/or people managers
Experience leading sales operations for a B2B SaaS businesses
Experience with CRM systems (SFDC and Microsoft Dynamics)
Project Management experience and experience mobilizing cross functional teams towards a common goal
Strong problem-solving and project management skills
Experience communicating with and presenting to senior management
Experience analysing data and using data to drive decision-making
Experience pivoting between big picture thinking and operational tactics

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is US $171,000 to US $278,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
