This role will be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Chicago or New York.

Our Go-To-Market Sales Strategy  

This Manager, Sales Operations Systems & Tools role will be responsible for strategically incorporating AI and next generation technologies into LinkedIn’s sales systems to improve pipeline intelligence & customer engagement while leading global commercial model initiatives through systems requirements design and implementation to evolve LinkedIn’s product offering, drive operational innovation, and deliver employee & customer value.  

The role will be focused on driving operational scale, technology transformation, as well as business growth through high impact solution design for successful implementation of LinkedIn’s foundational and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will learn the GTM Ops business inside-out, partner with Product and Eng technology partners to deliver roadmaps, test & learn, and drive outcomes for our global GTM teams & customers.  

The Manager will cultivate strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders such as Product, Central Operations, Deal Desk, Marketing Technology, Acquisition Operations, Sales Systems Engineering, Global Sales Compensation, Data Science, Business Operations, and vendors to identify opportunities, design, and deliver results.  

The ideal candidate will function as a player-coach, leveraging strong collaboration skills, to lead the candidate’s team through the software development lifecycle (e.g. business requirement development through eventual sunset) and partner with technology & systems teams to deliver scalable solutions. The candidate should be adept at deriving and articulating actionable business insights from large amounts of data to drive recommendations and inform key stakeholders. Using strong communication skills, the Manager will effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of high complexity and scope, and be able to perform professionally in a challenging and extremely fast-paced environment. The Manager will work with technology partners and manage junior resources on the team to help deliver against critical systems deliverables. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Sales Strategy & Operations Manager, you will lead projects with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to make data-driven decisions on topics, including, but not limited to: 

  • Key Sales Operations, Pipeline Intelligence & Customer Engagement Systems, Tools and Processes  
  • Business requirements for Commercial Model and Strategic Pricing Priorities  
  • Sales Operations Enablement   
  • Process Improvements 
  • System & Tool Enhancements & Roadmap  

This role will have the opportunity to:  

  • Partner with technology partners to deliver on the Sales systems vision and identify opportunities to integrate tools & data to scale for the future 
  • Make business recommendations, conveying findings at multiple levels including managers and peers through clear communication materials, presentation materials or documents, and visual displays of quantitative information 
  • Assess how new commercial models, GTM motions, or Product Offerings will impact existing operational processes & sales systems. Recognize process inefficiencies in existing workflows and map out programs to drive systematic improvements. 
  • Assess the feasibility of solutions to prioritized business problems and lead business requirements development 
  • Act as an advisor to sales/cross-functional leadership by delivering data-driven recommendations to help optimize the SaaS business and achieve its strategic priorities    
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create and manage multi-quarter roadmaps   
  • Develop and communicate current and future state business processes, data flows and process diagrams, user journeys & workflows   
  • Identify and holistically assess both data and process problems as well as business needs to make recommendations   
  • Quantify and evaluate business/user impact to inform prioritization across new use cases, tasks, defects, and enhancements   
  • Recommend solutions to improve productivity, decrease overall complexity, minimize technical debt, and enable better data integrity   
  • Create and maintain project trackers as well as communication channels to effectively manage actions to meet deadlines while delivering at high velocity 
  • Regularly assess and communicate project constraints and risks globally; identify project dependencies, decision trade-offs, mitigation plans   
  • Influence change management strategies and be responsible for deploying, where applicable   
  • Gain management confidence creating and delivering insights in executive presentations 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications   

  • 2+ years of people management
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or related practical experience 
  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product management, sales systems, sales technology, process improvements, or data-driven roles 

Preferred Qualifications   

  • 2+ years of technical lead experience 
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives in a high-growth, performance-focused environment   
  • Experience presenting data, systems recommendations, process changes, or other technical concepts to senior stakeholders 
  • Clear and effective communication with the ability to distill complex insights or strategies into simple, actionable written and verbal recommendations to effectively communicate and influence senior leadership. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, navigate challenging data sets, develop solutions, and craft high-quality executive presentations   
  • Proven experience managing a large group of stakeholders and independently driving global projects.  
  • Experience partnering effectively with other teams to drive project success. Eager and motivated to work collaboratively in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Manages upwards to leadership to proactively identify opportunities 
  • Experience with Sales Operations processes and tools (e.g., SFDC and Dynamics CRM, etc.) 
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and SQL 
  • Familiarity with issue-tracking products (e.g., JIRA) for workflow management 
  • Comfortable consuming and understanding data from a heterogeneous set of sources (e.g., files, APIs, and tables) to conduct analysis and generate insights with exceptional attention to detail.  
  • Comfortable with data and ambiguity; quickly creates connections and assesses root-cause; delves into the details & operational tactics, engages meaningfully on the big picture, and solves operational problems   
  • Experience acting with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, independently balancing multiple priorities, and proven experience in meeting deadlines with high accountability and effective prioritization

The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $199,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
