Senior IT Operations Engineer

The Role

As a Senior IT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems, provide technical support to employees, and contribute to ongoing IT projects. You will balance conflicting priorities, from employee productivity to budget and security. 

What You’ll Own

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees for hardware and software issues.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications.

• Build automation to enable scale, be fluent with scripting

• Establish and Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

• Manage and maintain inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.

• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding

• Assist with data backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for improvements.

• Train employees on IT best practices and use of technology tools.

Who We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in IT support and system administration.

• Proficiency in Mac and Windows operating systems.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Strong knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
