Description:• The Government Affairs Research Analyst reports to the Vice President of Strategic Congressional & Political Affairs (SC&PA) and will be responsible for providing research and analytical support for Lockheed Martin Government Affairs Senior Leadership on US Government, political, legislative and regulatory issues of importance to the company. Additionally, the individual will manage the SC&PA team budget.Responsibilities will include:• Strategic project development support for VP presentations, to include organizing, writing, and quality review of materials such as briefings, speeches, executive-level presentations and other written communications.• Coordinating, developing, and tracking executive preparation materials for functional and corporate leadership in advance of all interactions, meetings, and events with the Congress, industry-related associations, state and local officials, and other various political entities.• Work with team to develop programmatic white papers for Congressional staff and Members and support form submission.• Support VP to build out annual Appropriations and Authorizations priorities.• Work with VP to develop CEO Hill visit background materials and talking points.• Manage weekly team SITREP for team for delivery to SVP Government Affairs.• Support VP in management of slate of consultants.• Support development of in-depth budget analysis documents for Board of Directors, Investor Relations and senior company leadership.• Interfacing with stakeholders across the business to generate artifacts that inform the strategic and tactical direction of the organization.• Monitor key posture hearings, notify appropriate teams, and provide summaries and transcripts for hearings of significance.• Monitoring the federal and/or state legislative and regulatory affairs environment and incorporate within the development of communication content• Support other special projects from VP-SC&PA, SVP, Director of Operations and other departments within the organization as required.• This position is on-site in Arlington, Va with very limited telework.What’s In It For You:From onsite to remote, we offer flexible work schedules to comprehensive benefits investing in your future and security, Learn more about Lockheed Martin’s comprehensive benefits package here.Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:We Hear You, We See You. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
