The selected candidate must currently hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.Basic Qualifications:• Must currently hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position*- Bachelor’s degree, or greater, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field with significant software development experience.- Experience with embedded development using a real-time operating system using VxWorks/Linux and C++ .- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs across multiple programs/product lines- Process Improvement and Affordability experience- Software engineering Management or Software engineering Team Lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring- Experience in all phases of software development ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing.- Can support routine domestic travel for government exercises and test events (~20% travel)Desired Skills:- At least 10 years of software development experience desired.- Experience with C++ (version 11 or higher preferred) .- Experience in software subcontract management is a plus but not required.- Agile development- Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams- Basis of Estimate (BOE) development- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience- Earned Value Management experience- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Prior Engineering Management- Proposal Development- Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking- Strong interpersonal skills- Knowledge of Cameo beneficial.- Working knowledge of Ada is desired.Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
