We are hiring a Logistics Specialist to develops, coordinate, and implement change requests that come from our RDCs, OFCs, carriers and customers!
What You Will Be Doing:
Develops, coordinates, and implements change requests that come from our RDCs, OFCs, carriers and customers - The majority of the requests come via email and primarily consist of making changes to shipment plans. (Adding stops, removing stops, changing delivery dates, ship to locations and contact information.) You will be making changes in both SAP ERP and SAP TM. Some of the changes are straight forward but some require extensive business knowledge of the distribution network and order management. Most changes require timely communication either via email or phone call.
A major part of the job is working in harmony with a small team in a fast paced ever changing environment. The team’s objectives are shared and require a lot of collaboration to be successful. Because of the complexity of the business the team relies upon each other to meet the daily objectives and goals. Everyone knows each other’s job which allows team members to flow to work based on the needs for that moment.
Plans shipment deliveries to customers based on customer requirements and Steelcase business rules using SAP TM. Uses MS Excel to further analyze and improve shipment plans.
Lean in the office is part of the Steelcase Transportation team’s culture. We are constantly identifying waste in our processes and using lean principles to drive it out. Actively participating in identifying waste, collecting and analyzing data to determining root cause and implementing corrective action is expected.
