Manage the recruitment and employment process, employee relations investigations, job classification, orientation, and general HR inquiries for assigned business units. Ensure that HR professional development opportunities and statutory training is carried out, based on need and compliance, for assigned units. Participate in developing and facilitating overall HR training and professional development programs as assigned by the supervisor.The Essential Function of the role includes, but not limited to:Serves as the lead and primary Human Resources point of contact for the assigned business groups. This includes all HR related matters including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leadership development, conflict management, policy and procedures implementation, compliance, engagement, unemployment, offboarding, and employee relations matters.The ideal incumbent will have an energetic and professional acumen that will allow them the opportunity to build professional relationships by regularly meeting with and collaborate with line managers and department VP's to assure that HR services meet or exceed expectations.Assist in creating an exceptional HR service organization to assist the University to achieve its strategic goals.Partner with internal HR team members and the HR Directors in translating business strategy into HR actions that drive University results.Education: Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.Experience: 3+ yearsSuccessful candidates for any staff, faculty, or administrative position at Loyola University Maryland will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
