Custodian Supervisor

Mac Properties is a dynamic and growing private residential real estate company with operations in the metropolitan areas of Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City.

We are hiring a Custodian Supervisor for the Hyde Park area! The schedule for this role is Tuesday-Saturday with a pay range of $22-$24/hour.

Please note, a valid driver's license and vehicle is required for this role. This position also requires candidates to speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Custodial Supervisor to lead and manage our custodial team, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
- Supervise, train, and schedule custodial staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to enhance team effectiveness.
Facility Maintenance:
- Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness and compliance with organizational standards.
- Address maintenance issues promptly and coordinate with other departments for repairs.
Operational Management:
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and workflows.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; reorder as necessary.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and train staff on safe cleaning practices.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding facility hygiene.
Reporting & Communication:
- Document and report daily activities, incidents, and performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments about facility needs.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and vehicle.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Previous experience in custodial management experience is required
Candidates must speak, read, and write fluently in both English and Spanish.
Proficient in using custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals safely.
Strong Leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to frequently transport up to 50 pounds variable distances, the mobility and flexibility to use required equipment and to access and work in restricted spaces or at heights in excess of 8-9 feet
Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.)
