About this Opportunity:

The Category Manager – Aggregates Industry will oversee and optimize our equipment offerings and sales strategy within the aggregates segment. This role is central to enhancing our reach, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the aggregates space, involving materials like sand, gravel, crushed stone, and recycled materials. You’ll drive product strategy, supplier relationships, and go-to-market initiatives to grow our market presence and sales in this industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Supplier Management

  • Take ownership of our supply chain for aggregates equipment. Your mission: ensure the right inventory is available to meet demand and support our Net Revenue goal.

  • Build and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating aggressively to ensure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable product availability.

Data-Driven Strategy & Market Analysis

  • Use data to inform every decision—analyze market trends, supplier performance, and customer demand to keep our product portfolio competitive.

  • Conduct regular reviews of inventory turnover and demand forecasting, making real-time adjustments to maximize sales potential and avoid shortages.

Pricing, Profitability & Growth

  • Develop dynamic pricing strategies that reflect current market conditions while hitting profitability targets.

  • Collaborate with sales and finance to ensure our offerings align with revenue and profit goals, adjusting strategies as needed to drive growth in the aggregates category.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Partner closely with the sales, marketing, and customer support teams to align on inventory needs, forecast demand, and ensure seamless sales execution.

  • Act as a key liaison, providing regular performance reports and data insights to leadership, keeping the entire team aligned on inventory performance and growth strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or sales, with at least 2+ years in the aggregates or construction equipment industry.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies that drive revenue and profit growth.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform decision-making and strategy development.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to market changes.

  • Familiarity with equipment procurement, financing, and leasing is advantageous.
