Municipal Bond Research Analyst

Join Macquarie Asset Management as a Municipal Credit Analyst on our Fixed Income Team in our Philadelphia office. In this role, you will evaluate the credit quality of potential purchases and conduct thorough credit surveillance of existing holdings. You will retrieve disclosure information and connect with state and local issuers regarding questions on financials, audits, and operating statistics on existing municipal business within Macquarie.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will compile initial internal credit reports, assign credit ratings, and conduct ongoing surveillance updates while communicating timely summary updates to the municipal trading desk. You will collect and evaluate information from investor conference calls, internet road shows, and site visits as well as coordinate with the trading staff on the flow of credit related information with the trading desk. You will also preparing sector-specific spreadsheets on new and existing holdings.

What you offer:

• 5 years of experience in municipal credit or fixed income.
• Ability to multi-task and build relationships within a global organization.
• CFA or progress towards the CFA, a plus
• Experience in municipal credit research and/or ESG factors within Municipal Credit research is a plus.
