NIWC Engineer, Systems IV

Position Summary

MAG currently has an opening for an Engineer, Systems IV to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic).  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the cybersecurity implementations and operations, advanced technology, and project management services mission.  In this mission, we provide engineering and technical services with operational support located in Charleston SC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support.
  • Considering overall project design including cost, schedule, and social issues that may be associated with a project.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

(U) Experience:

  • Ten (10) years with Master’s or 14 years with Bachelor’s degree of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
  • Individual shall have notable experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager.

(U) Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

(U) Specific Requirements:

  • Decision making, communication, collaboration and writing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook (Word, Email, Spreadsheets, Schedules, PowerPoint). 

(U) General Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance level

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
