Account Manager, Grocery (West/Central)

In this position, you will be accountable for the achievement of account-specific goals by building strategic sales plans, developing customer relationships, managing broker partners and executing a trade marketing plan to drive sales and profitability growth through effective promotions, new item distribution and retail excellence. This role will report into the Sr. Director of Grocery and is a remote position (with expectation to visit the Tribeca NY office at least once per Q).

As Account Manager, Grocery (West/Central) you'll:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of the business in brokers and distributors through meetings, scorecards, and clear communication
  • Deliver effective sales presentations to key customers and brokers by turning data into insights to drive distribution, promotional effectiveness and overall profitable sales growth
  • Develop and deliver against key customer strategic plans
  • Build value added customer relationships and ensure key KPIs are achieved
  • Provide accurate forecasts for volumes and revenue for assigned accounts
  • Attend trade association meetings and trade shows as needed
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners internally to develop and align on plans
  • 4+ years of CPG (preferably food) experience across Conventional Grocery 
  • Experience scaling in retail; ideally you’ve grown an emerging brand 
  • Experience managing a broker network
  • Working knowledge of trade promotions, business math and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of syndicated sales data (Neilsen, IRI, or Spins) and ability to leverage data and analytics in building convincing data based sales stories
  • Must be self-driven, results oriented, and able to drive sales while working independently
  • Willingness to travel to customers and NYC HQ as needed
