The Role
Working closely with the CFO and FC, you will be responsible for the end to end production of the management accounts, gaining insights into the Financial and Business processes to help drive successful financial based business decisions.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll:

• Preparing monthly Management Accounts, including P&L accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
• Management of the accounting package – currently Sage 50, including all journal entries, invoice processing and expenses.
• Full management of cash process, posting entries, reviewing payments in multiple currencies.
• Reviewing junior staff members work and mentoring junior staff.
• Monthly Commission Calculations

• Reviewing quarterly UK VAT returns
• Balance sheet reconciliation – completing and reviewing reconciliations monthly.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets
• Overview of Credit Control
• Presentation and interpretation of monthly management accounts to CFO and FC with observation and commentary.
• Preparing weekly investor reporting
• Stakeholder Management – Accountants, Lawyers, Banks
• Assisting the FC with all aspects of US accounting, filing, reporting, tax
• Assisting FC with the annual statutory audit – key point of contact for the audit team and preparation of audit workings papers.

About you

• 
  Previous management accounts experience
• Working towards final stage accounting qualification or similar (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Strong academics
• Strong Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and reporting skills
• Flexible and adaptable to achieve needs of the business
• Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand it
• Interest in the world of Software / PE / VC preferred
