POSITION: Manager, Accounts Payable

COMPENSATION: Pursuant to applicable regulations, if this job is performed in a relevant State, the salary range is $65,000-$72,000 plus bonus potential. DIRECT REPORT: Director of Corporate Accounting

SUMMARY:

This position works out of our Corporate Office in Denver, CO. As Accounts Payable Manager, you are responsible for developing and managing a team responsible for A/P, vendor compliance, and oversight of the transaction card program. On-going responsibilities include check runs, internal support with accounting-related issues, file maintenance, unclaimed property submission, and various special projects as needed. This position offers the opportunity to work with a growing company that encourages collaboration across several professional Teams in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Design, Development, and Project Management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Manages accounts payable including but not limited to vendor compliance, vendor database maintenance, AP check processing, reconciliation of national vendor accounts, and addition of vendors for new property setups.
  • Assists in year-end activities, including audit preparation and submission of 1099’s and CRP’s.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains procedures and policies for accounts payable and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Maintenance of unclaimed property tracker and submission of unclaimed property funds to respective states.
  • Deposits checks and posts receipts for commercial tenants, inter-company transactions, bad-debt recovery, and other miscellaneous deposits as requested.
  • Collaborates on company’s day-to-day activities and communicates with company’s clients and other interested parties.
  • Additional accounting and administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Participates in Cardinal U training as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or similar field.
  • 3-5 Years of related experience in accounts payable, accounting or finance. Property management experience is a plus.
  • 1-2 Years managing/supervising AP processes and team.
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of YARDI, Entrata, Real Page, Adobe and Google Apps is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, articulate, and compile financial reports used for business correspondence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to assist with additional tasks if/when the need arises.
