Summary

The Manager, Accounts Receivable (AR) leads the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable sub teams, including managing, training and developing the AR associates, resolve customer issues, establish internal control processes. This includes cash application, billing compliance and pricing compliance activities. The AR Manager creates reporting and analytics for management in alignment with industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Coach, mentor and develop cash application, billing compliance and pricing compliance teams.
Develops and maintains policies and procedures for cash application, pricing compliance and billing compliance policies that drive timely and accurate data, provides sufficient cross-training and delivers outcomes in alignment with industry standards. Oversees the testing of policies and processes to ensure safeguards are adequate and necessary accounting controls are established.
Assists team members in creatively solving issues and develops escalation protocols that result in decisions being made timely and at the appropriate levels.
Collaborate cross functionally with credit, D2C, IT, customer care, sales and vendor compliance teams to deliver well thought out solutions to complex customer requests and internal programs.
Establishes benchmarks and KPI’s and creates management reporting to highlight areas of strength and areas of improvement. Drive continual automation, efficiency and effectiveness within processes to support significant business growth.
Manages month-end close process including reconciliation of all A/R general ledger accounts to ensure deadlines are met and analysis of issues identified occurs timely. Supports year end audit process, including confirmations and working with auditors for system and control testing.
Participates in necessary system development and testing, both internally and externally, to achieve efficiencies and ensure future business needs are anticipated.
Manages external relationships with banking partners and other key vendors. Identifies opportunities to negotiate savings or improve processes to deliver more comprehensive or automated solutions.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Accounting/Finance or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
8 years of accounts receivable experience including the following:
2-4 years of leadership experience with a track record of developing and attracting talent.
Proficiency in accounting, including revenue recognition, month end close and reconciliations preferred
Experience with large ERP, SAP S4/Hana preferred
Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
Ability to motivate others, communicate with all levels of organization and influence decisions throughout the organization
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external parties
Excellent Excel skills (ability to organize large data sets for analysis)
Superior modeling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail is required.
Good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to handle changing circumstances and reprioritize when necessary

Willing to work some weekends if necessary
Travel (10%)
Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
