Our Hydro Flask Team is based in breathtaking Bend, Oregon. There is a desert to the East of town and mountains to the West. Our geography says a lot about who we are. We bike, ski, swim, do yoga, run, hike, and play outside. We grill and share kombucha and growlers in our backyards. We go for it wholeheartedly. That may sound like the weekend, but that is how we live every day of the year. We also offer a casual and dog-friendly environment!
Hybrid Schedule: Our Bend office has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office an average of three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding any changes to our hybrid schedule will be communicated as we continue to closely monitor COVID-19 with employee safety is our priority.

What you will be doing:
The ecommerce Email Retention Manager will manage every aspect of our DTC eCommerce email and SMS communications working closely with our Home & Outdoor DTC, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, and external email marketing agency Teams. They will strive for industry leading consumer experiences to drive engagement and revenue for our eCommerce business. The ideal candidate for this role will exhibit thought leadership around acquisition, retention, automations, journeys, and outstanding CRM database management.
  • Support Consumer Retention, segmented product launch email/SMS announcements, conduct email/SMS list segmentation & management, triggered time lapse communication, triggered product specific communication and leverage seasonal email content calendar
  • Take stock and lead a complete list of all emails/SMS (source, triggers, conditions, platforms, etc., and maintain all post purchase emails
  • Collaborate and support the Brand marketing calendar and maintain the DTC email marketing calendar
  • Create email templates and creative briefs, working closely with Brand Marketing around visual aesthetics, copy and brand voice
  • Own the email/SMS platform performance metrics and work closely with our external email/SMS marketing agency to determine strategy and tactics
  • Polish and standardize a series of KPIs
  • Track and communicate performance to the greater DTC team
  • Conduct A:B Testing; support merchandizing and using multifaceted product recommendations where/when applicable
  • Leverage analytics, customer data and personas to deliver segmented email/SMS content
  • Have a full understanding of our ESP platform and work closely with our email/SMS vendor to maximise all available
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Demonstrated high level of autonomy and ability to self-start
  • Demonstrated passion for improving the email consumer experience and making it the best it can possibly be
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong desire to own all aspects of email for the brand
  • Ambition and is insatiably curious in order to optimize our email processes
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+years proven experience with DTC email, SMS and digital marketing and consumer service-related activity
  • Experience managing email communications to medium/large sized customer lists
  • Experience with managing email service provider software
  • Knowledge of various digital eCommerce paid channels including paid search, display, paid social and CTV/OLV
  • Knowledge of various analytics dashboards Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Microsoft PowerBI
  • Tech Savvy – proficient with web-based technologies though work or leisure – email marketing, monetized blog, website design
  • Experience with various Email Service Provider (ESP) and CRM platforms
  • MS Office suites skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Magento
  • Project management experience
  • Prior experience in the outdoor, fashion, lifestyle or action sports retail industry
