Manager - Engineering

• Position is accountable to Lead Engineering Function at Dahej Compounding Facility, ensuring efficient & Reliable operation of plant’s equipment, and systems with adherence to Safety & legal compliance.

• Lead Engineering function at Dahej Compounding Plant to ensure sustainable & robust maintenance practices, O & M practices for electrical systems & automation systems are in place for smooth plant operation meeting sourcing demand while focusing on Safety, Operational Excellence aspects.
• Ensure availability/upkeep of plant equipments, support in achieving targeted OEE/TEEP
• Lead & develop competent and accountable team while improving/developing behavioral, functional skills and leadership qualities. Foster environment for development of High-performance team.
• Ensure adherence to preventive/predictive maintenance practices/system and related programs like Failure analysis, RCA, JSA, Risk analysis, monitoring systems are in place.
• Ensure Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance of plant & facilities.
• Lead Operational excellence and continual improvement program at site in alignment with Lubrizol Global practices and standards.
• Ensure Mechanical Integrity and quality assurance of all plant equipments, E & I installations, systems, drive efficiency and energy saving initiatives across site.
• Ensure contractor management is in place focusing on Safety, quality & timely delivery by Contractors complying to Lubrizol & Statutory requirements. Be a part of contractor terms finalization including all AMC/ARC.
• Ensure effective spare management system is in place focusing on critical and non-critical systems & equipment, availability of spares, development of indigenous spares/equipments, vendors and other required support.
• Collaborate with Regional and Global teams for implementing effective standards & systems of plant/processes/Mechanical integrity.
• Support plant in Implementing robust HSES Management system and practices following local & global standards and practices, implementation of Human performance tools,
• Be part of & support for conducting various safety related studies like HAZOP, Workplace safety monitoring, Noise & Pollution Monitoring, Dust Hazard study, Ergonomic study as applicable in plant operation & projects
• Lead & execute Operational Capex projects at site. Support for Strategic Capex project execution within and outside Dahej.
• Prepare, Monitor Maintenance Budget and Operational Capex.

• Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 15-18 years’ experience in Plant Maintenance & Engineering, Projects in chemical &/or petrochemical plants.
• Proven Experience in Utility operation & maintenance, O & M Electrical installation & Plant Instrumentation/Automations, DCS and SCADA based control system.
• Well conversant with industry best practices for Plant maintenance systems and practices
• Experience in preparation of Opex/Capex for the dept., track, and monitor
• Experience in managing & developing diverse team of different functions, experience, and expertise.
• Experience in Contractor & Vendor Management
• Knowledge of Global & Regional Safety & Regulatory standards, codes, and engineering practices.
• Manufacturing supervisory experience in leadership position of minimum 3-5 years
• Strong communication and networking skills. Fluent in English and local language.
• Sound understanding and demonstrated competency in use of statistics, and various formal problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC,5-WHY, Use of PDCA), LEAN Enterprise Systems are a plus.
• Leadership skills interacting with senior leaders and team across local and global.
