POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE


The Manager of Strategy and Operations will be based in either New York City or Boston. You will work closely with the Director of Strategy & Operations to drive operational excellence across supply chain & logistics, manufacturing, and product operations. In addition to operational oversight, you will lead demand planning, forecasting, and provide ongoing analytical support for strategic projects. This is a hands-on role at a fast growing beauty brand with fantastic opportunities for ownership and impact. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Inventory Planning & Strategic Analysis


  • Create and maintain demand plans for both direct to consumer and wholesale channels
  • Lead production planning processes to inform budgeting and staffing needs, while accounting for target inventory levels and operational constraints
  • Develop weekly and monthly reporting for D2C and major wholesale partners to assess performance across channels
  • Contribute to monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Develop processes to ensure Netsuite data is maintained in an accurate and timely manner
  • Complete special projects and provide ongoing analytical support, as needed (i.e., research and analyze manufacturing and supply chain partners, including cost / benefit analysis)


Production Facility and Warehouse Management


  • Support the execution of new product launches and ensure adherence to target timelines
  • Manage inventory levels across locations, ensuring that supply is allocated properly to the warehouse and wholesale orders
  • Issue POs and coordinate freight for all inbound component SKUs
  • Facilitate inventory accuracy at our production facility using robust inventory control measures and ongoing cycle counts
  • Proactively manage our relationship with our 3PL provider: communicate and maintain SOPs, provide sales forecasts, and troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Audit warehouse and shipping costs, identify potential areas for cost savings
  • Other duties as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • B.A. required; minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operational support role, preferably in demand planning or merchandising at an early to mid stage consumer brand
  • Experience working with WMS and ERP systems (Netsuite preferred), with a strong understanding of inventory management
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
