Manager, Web Development

The Manager, Web Development will be an expert in website best practices, developing and scoping projects, communicating with stakeholders and delivering within a fast-paced organization. As a Web Manager, you will be a part of a team that contributes to shaping and continually improving Brightcove's global digital presence. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on multiple projects at a time, communicating with global stakeholders and vendors, and have an understanding of web fundamentals.

This position is a team manager reporting into the SVP of Product Strategy & Marketing.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee web content launches across Brightcove's site on a weekly basis.
• Manage a small team of developers and content producers, ensuring their work meets both technical and stakeholder requirements.
• Employ and understand Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework for internal team prioritization and planning while maintaining standard SLAs.
• Prioritize and execute multiple competing projects ensuring consistency with brand strategy and business objectives.
• Contribute to the development team's projects as a team member.
• Assist in triaging all new tasks for the website operations backlog, and work with stakeholders to gather missing information and requirements when needed.
• Scope and deploy projects together with internal teams and work on documentation to deliver fully defined tasks to the development team.
• Assist in QA process and build strong QA documentation for team to follow.
• Work with production team to answer CMS troubleshooting questions, be the first line of defense for review before we share with stakeholders.
• Assess and report on key web metrics against department goals.
• Update and maintain WebOps process documentation.

Qualifications/Experience

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of website experience.
• Deep understanding and practice of formal project management methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Agile.
• Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence.
• Sufficient understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS), and previous experience with Contentful.
• Knowledge of collaboration tools and systems (Google Suite, Atlassian Suite/Jira, Slack, and Zoom.).
• Excellent collaborator with a positive attitude.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong team management skills; Ability to coach, motivate and develop a team of web developers and web producers.

**Preferred:

• Experience with Contentful.
• • Experience with Jira and ticketing systems.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience working within B2B SaaS software environment.

The base salary range listed is across locations in the US. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to an applicant's experience, specialized skills, internal alignment and an applicant's work location.
