We are looking for an M&A Business Intelligence Associate to join our Corporate Development department in our New York City office or remotely. As an M&A Business Intelligence Associate, you will be responsible for providing business finance and technology support to the Corporate Development function at Citrin Cooperman, a group that has added $270 million in revenue to our firm over a twenty-month period. We will continue to be acquisitive and are looking for a dynamic professional who wants exposure to various segments of our business to assist in various M&A functions throughout the deal lifecycle.

NOTE: This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in internal identification of potential targets and management of banker/ broker relationships.
  • Assist in transaction underwriting and structuring.
  • Scenario modeling and ad-hoc analysis for pursuit and negotiation process.
  • Prepare and update deal financial models from pursuit through diligence.
  • Prepare monthly proforma budget for integration into CC financial reporting.
  • Initial analysis of synergies and dyssynergies with handoff of tracking mechanism to corporate finance.
  • Cost of revenue reconciliations and projections with a strong understanding of all facets of personnel costs.
  • Personnel productivity, utilization, billings, and collections analysis.
  • Participate on calls and meetings and actively interact with targets and advisors (ie. legal counsel, diligence providers, etc.).
  • Track red flag findings and follow-ups identified throughout the pre-signing process.
  • Business model and overall operational analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Strong business and interpersonal communication skills.
  • 3+ years M&A experience with small to middle market professional services businesses.
  • Strong understanding of professional services business (ie. billable hour cycle).
  • Investment banking and/ or private equity and/ or financial planning and analysis experience.
  • Understanding of cross-functional coordination and managing both dotted and solid line relationships at different levels of a company.
  • Superior organization skills with the ability and desire to balance multiple projects of varying complexity at the same time.
  • High level Microsoft Excel skills required (macros skills helpful).
  • Datasite and/ or other M&A tool and project management skills encouraged.

For positions in New York City, the salary range is $125,000 -- $150,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws. This is a participation unit and bonus eligible position.
