A social media manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with business goals, creating engaging content tailored to various platforms, interacting with the online community to foster positive engagement, monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to adjust strategies accordingly, ensuring brand consistency in messaging and style, keeping up with industry trends and platform updates to leverage new opportunities, managing social media campaigns and promotions, collaborating with other teams to ensure cohesive communication, handling crises and negative comments to protect the brand's reputation, and staying informed about best practices to educate team members on effective social media usage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage brand’s online presence and engagement across various social media platforms for each Shop/Account. Act as the brand's voice online, helping to create a strong, engaging, and trustworthy presence that drives brand loyalty and growth.
1. Content Strategy Development - Planning and Scheduling: Create content calendars to plan posts; promotions, and campaigns for all shops in advance as per direction of the Sales & Marketing Lead. - Content Creation: Develop engaging, shareable content (posts, videos, images, etc.) that aligns with the brand’s voice and goals.
2. Brand Management - Consistency: Ensure all content maintains the brand’s tone, style, and message. - Brand Awareness: Increase visibility and presence across social platforms to grow the audience base.
3. Audience Engagement - Community Management: Respond to comments, messages, and mentions to engage followers and foster a sense of community.
4. Campaign Management - Promotions and Ads: Plan, launch, and monitor social media ad campaigns to drive engagement, sales, or awareness. - Contests and Giveaways: Run promotional events to boost engagement and followers such as giveaways, etc.
5. Analytics and Reporting - Performance Monitoring: Use analytics tools to track metrics like engagement, reach, impressions, and conversions. - Reports: Provide insights on the effectiveness of campaigns and social media activities, making recommendations for improvement.
6. Trend Monitoring - Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to remain competitive. - Trend Adaptation: Quickly adapt strategies to take advantage of viral trends or platform updates.
7. Collaboration - Work with Team: Collaborate with Sales & Marketing team, Shipout Team, and Offline Team, Accounts Manager to align social media content with broader marketing strategies. - Influencer Partnerships: Identify and collaborate with influencers and ambassadors to promote products or services.
8. Customer Insights - Feedback Analysis: Gather insights from social media interactions to understand customer preferences and improve offerings. - Audience Targeting: Tailor content and campaigns to meet the interests of specific audience segments.
